In a notable decision, the BJP has fielded former MP Parvesh Verma against incumbent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency. Other significant nominations include former MP Ramesh Bidhuri, who will contest against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi in Kalkaji. The party has also given a ticket to Kailash Gahlot, a recent defector from AAP, who will contest from the Bijwasan seat. Gahlot's switch to BJP came with allegations against AAP regarding "diluted values and principles."
