Dehradun: Six friends tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident late Monday night around 2:00 AM. Their speeding car collided with a container at ONGC Chowk after taking a U-turn on Kanwali Road. - At Govindgarh: Traveling at approximately 64 km/h.
- From Govindgarh to Balliwala: Speed increased to 77 km/h in 35 seconds.
- Between Balliwala and Synergy Hospital (2.8 km): Covered in 120 seconds at an average speed of 84 km/h.
- 600 meters to ONGC Chowk: Covered in 14 seconds, reaching a speed of approximately 154 km/h.
The excessive speed resulted in the driver losing control, leading to a fatal collision with the container at ONGC Chowk.

The container involved in the crash was moving at a normal speed. It was last seen at Kishannagar Chowk at 1:15 AM and reached ONGC Chowk at 1:19 AM, covering a distance of 1.5 km in four minutes at a speed of 20–22 km/h.
